Advancing America, LLC was created to improve parental involvement and student academic outcomes by providing training and resources needed for the academic success of the rising generation.
Doyle Valdez
President and Founder
Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Doyle Valdez has always had a strong love for family and community as well as a deep understanding of the unique diversity in Austin which has encouraged a life-long passion for the importance of education.
From 1998-2006, Mr. Valdez served as Vice President and President of the Austin ISD Board of Trustees, where he helped evaluate, establish, and institute public education policy also serving as media and community spokesperson. In 2008, he created Advancing America, LLC which hosts the ePromotora program in neighboring schools. In 2013, Mr. Valdez created Community Key, Inc. which hosted Feria Aprender, the largest Spanish-language education event in Central Texas, in 2014 and 2015.
In 2015, Mr. Valdez started Mobility Blueprint, LLC, a company that develops innovative web-based tools that serve school districts, schools and community at large by providing user-friendly access to student data needed to make informed decisions that ultimately keep students successfully in school.
Mr. Valdez served on the Advisory Board for the Ann Richards School for Young Women as well as the board of the E3 Alliance. He currently serves on the board of Austin Partners in Education, 100 Club of Central Texas, Austin Area Research Organization, Austin Ed Fund Board and Austin Airport Advisory Commission.
Doyle Valdez has also been in the energy industry for 39 years and is owner and President of Valco Resource Management, Inc., an oil and gas production marketing and consulting firm.
In 2006, the Doyle Valdez Social Justice Award was established by The University of Texas at Austin to recognize and honor an outstanding individual who works everyday to implement the principles of social justice for the good of all.
Doyle holds a B.B.A. with concentration in finance from St. Edward’s University.
Born and raised in Mexico, Danitza moved to the United States 20 years ago. Living first in Washington DC and then in Austin, Tx, her passion was always to work closely with the Hispanic community raising awareness about the importance of education and physical and mental health in our underserved neighborhoods.
As ePromotora Program Coordinator and facilitator, she works daily with several Independent School Districts and Elementary schools in the Austin area training Pre-K families and educators in early literacy and social-emotional learning. This job allows her to understand and connect in a profound way with Latino and immigrant families that don’t speak English and are not familiar with the education system in this country. Advocating for these families and guiding them is of paramount importance to her.
She has been teaching Dance Fitness classes with non-profit organizations like WeViva, El Buen Samaritano, Foundation Communities, Stronger Austin, It’s Time Texas and Central Health offering free bilingual classes for low-income communities in the Austin area.
Danitza is also part of the Sana Yoga Board of Directors, a non-profit that closely woks with the Latin community providing accessible programs to improve mental health, physical health and social well-being among marginalized communities in Austin area.
With strong ties in her community, she also participates every year as a volunteer with the American Heart Association at the Vestido Rojo event and with the American Diabetes Association in various fundraisers. She has been invited as an expositor and presenter to the Austin ISD conference ADELANTE, also to The Texas Book Festival as a Pura Belpre Award Winners talk moderator, with Families as Partners Initiative as a trainer, and she collaborates in different non-profits and other organizations focused in serving her Hispanic community.
